The Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, meeting in Istanbul on 21 May 2001 with Mrs Err (Luxembourg, Soc) in the Chair: 

-         held an exchange of views with Turkish NGOs and associations:

Mrs Nevin Þenol, Director General on the Status and Problems of Women, Office of the Prime Minister

Mrs Zülal KILIÇ, Chairperson of Women's Association (KADER)

Mrs Pýnar ÝLKKARACAN, Chairperson of the Association on Women's Human Rights Project

Mrs Efsa KURANER Association of Anatolian Culture

Mrs Þenal SARUHAN, Chairperson of the Association of Republican Women

and, as regards

-                     its next meetings, decided to meet as follows:

·           Strasbourg, during the Assembly 2001 third part-session (25-29 June);

·           Paris, Thursday 6 September 2001 (Council of Europe Office);

·           Strasbourg, during the Assembly 2001 fourth part-session (24-28 September);

·           Bratislava, 22-23 October 2001 (subject to the authorisation of the Bureau).
