Origin - 2013 - Fourth part-session

In the draft resolution, at the end of paragraph 8.3.2, add the following words:

"recognise children as a particulary vulnerable group and take specific measures to avoid their malnutrition and its devastating effects on children's development."

Explanatory note

As General Rapporteur on Children, I am convinced that the Assembly should not adopt an important text like this one without explicity mentioning children who are extremely vulnerable due to their particular physical and emotional needs and their dependence on adults in accessing food in sufficient quantity and good quality.
