Appointment of a special committee to watch the special interests of the European nations not represented in the Council of Europe

The Assembly of the Council of Europe, recognising'that certain nations, prevented from participating in the work of the Council of Europe, are nevertheless an integral part of Europe, resolves to set up' a special committee to ensure that the special interests of those nations are taken into consideratoin in any proposals which the Assembly or its committees may formulate.

This committee, which would be free to call upon the expert advice of individuals from the nations concerned, would be kept informed of the work of the Assembly's other committees, and would be authorised to make representations to those committees in fulfilment of its purpose as defined above.
